Scholarships
The board of Novato Youth Football and club alumni are proud to offer financial assistance to qualifying athletes and families. To apply for a scholarship , please follow directions listed below each description.
The Jr. Hornet Alumni Scholarship
Funded and determined by a committee of NYF Alumni who aim to give every child an opportunity to one day join them in funding the future of Novato Youth Football. Winners will have their registration fee covered for the 2026 season.
The Made in Marin Scholarship
Carson and Shannon at Made in Marin have committed to covering the registration cost for one NYF athlete to ensure financial hardship is never a reason to miss a season.
The Smith Family Gridiron Scholarship
Otis and Michele Smith have committed to covering the registration cost of a middle school athlete that shows their hard work goes beyond the field and into the classroom.
To be considered, applicants must submit all three of the following:
1. Proof of a 3.5 GPA or Higher A current unofficial transcript or report card showing a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above.
2. Personal Sportsmanship Statement A brief paragraph written by the student describing a specific moment where they demonstrated sportsmanship — whether in a game, at practice, or in everyday life.
3. Teacher Recommendation Letter A short letter from a teacher of the student's choosing. The letter should speak to who the student is in the classroom — their attitude, effort, and character. There is no required format; we simply ask that it be sincere.
