• NYF will participate in NORCAL's Division 2 playoffs.
  The units participating with us in D2 will be:
  
  1. Central Marin (all 5 levels)
  2. Elk Grove (all 5 levels)
  3. Emeryville (all 5 levels)
  4. Encina (Jr PeeWee and Midget only)
     
  5. Mira Loma (all 5 levels)
     
  6. Novato (no Midgets)
     
  7. San Juan (no Jr. Midgets and no Midgets)
     
  8. Silicon Valley (no Cadets and no Midgets)
     
  9. Southern Marin (all 5 levels)
• D1 units like Palo Alto, San Jose Sharks, Sacramento Saints, etc.
  will participate in their own, separate playoff tournament.
  
• Eight D2 teams will be seeded into the playoffs at each level (Cadet through Midget).
  
  • Since there are few levels in D2 with more than eight teams, it is safe to say that
    most if not all teams at each level of play in D2 will be seeded into the playoffs.
    
  • In those rare instances where a team does get seeded into the top 8,
    that team will be matched with another team for a bowl game
    
• Playoffs will be comprised of three rounds, starting 10/31 and ending 11/13.
  
• Upper seed teams (seeded 1-4) will have the opportunity to host their respective
  game at their site in rounds 1 and 2. Lower seeded teams wil likely have to travel
• (only exception will be where the upper seeded teams opt not play at home).
  This means that if a unit has teams in the lower seeds (5-8), they may have
  to play in multiple locations during rounds 1 and 2.
  
• All divisional championship games will be played in Sacramento on 11/13.
